Traditionally used by the Dene of the Northwest Territories to collect berries. Each basket is hand-woven from harvested birchbark, sewn with gathered spruce root and finished with a moose hide tie closure and lid hinge. Both lid and front are decorated with porcupine quill designs in a floral motif.

This large basket is perfectly suited for use as a scattering urn with its full lid opening and tie closure.

Measures 8.75"H x 5.5"W x 6"D.
